Agile and Lean methodologies are intended accelerate our ability to deliver value to our customers. Using these methodologies, companies are increasing the frequency with which they release updates to their products. Microsoft have embraced this and have changed their release cadence for Visual Studio starting with the 2012 release. Largely driven by the new hosted TFS service, Microsoft update the hosted TFS Service approximately every 3 weeks and the on-premise TFS every 3 months. The recently released Visual Studio 2012 Update 2 included over 37 new or improved features as well as more than 86 fixes.

In this demo filled session, Microsoft Visual Studio ALM MVP, Anthony Borton, look's at many of the new and improved features in Update 2 including Work Item tagging, Kanban Board customisation, Web based test case management and more.

Anthony Borton is an ALM trainer and consultant for Enhance ALM, an Australian based company specializing in helping organizations successfully adopt ALM best practices. He is a Microsoft MVP for Visual Studio ALM as well as a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Anthony is an engaging speaker with experience presenting at conferences around the world including Microsoft TechEd in the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. He is the author of eight TFS 2012 training courses and delivers the most comprehensive range of TFS courses in the world today.
